Reminding someone about money does not have to hurt; often they have simply forgotten. Wordseal shows the due date neutrally and never puts an amount in a notification. Because the record is shared, the reminder repeats what you both already wrote down. Nobody is asked to account for anything.
Do notifications show the amount?
No. Notifications never show the amount, and the other person's name appears only if you turn it on in your profile. Even if someone else glances at the phone, no figure is visible, and the other person is not embarrassed.
What happens as the due date gets close?
Both of you get a gentle reminder in the app 7 days and 1 day before the due date, and on the day. It says "the day is coming up", not "you must pay".
No surprises: the date is known in advance and in front of both of you. A reminder is not a new demand, just a gentle repeat of something you already agreed.
How does it work with installments?
With an installment plan (Premium), each installment has its own reminder, 3 days before and on the day, for both of you. You do not have to write to the person every month.
What if the date passes?
The record shows it in neutral words, with no penalty and no pressure. The first step is to talk, and then, if you like, add a note.
Who decides to remind the witnesses?
The lender. Reminding witnesses about an overdue record is a deliberate choice; nothing goes out on its own. If you do not choose it, witnesses only hear when a payment is marked.
What can I do instead of reminding?
Often the better move is to offer partial payments or an installment plan when paying in full is hard. Both move forward with both sides' confirmation and keep things relaxed.
These feel like a shared solution rather than chasing someone. In the end the aim is to protect the relationship as much as the money.
