How do you record gold and currencies?

Which kinds of gold can I record?

Quarter, half and full coins, Ata, Reşat, gremse and beşli by the piece. Gold by the gram in 24k, 22k, 21k and 18k. Bracelets in 22k, 21k, 18k and 14k. If you handed over "three quarter coins" or "10 grams of 22k", that is what the record says.

Which currencies work?

Any currency. You choose the currency when you write the record, and it stays that way throughout. Wordseal never converts it on its own, so both of you always look at the same number.

Does Wordseal show live gold prices?

No. It does not show live gold or exchange prices, and it does not calculate an equivalent for you. It records what was given. What it is worth today is something you check from a source you trust and talk about.

That is a deliberate choice: prices move every day, a record should not.

What will be returned?

The two of you decide together: the same gold back, or something else in its place. Write it in the note when you open the record, so months later you are not holding two different stories.

If you agree "the gold comes back", say so clearly in the note. The math is yours to do.

Can it be returned in parts?

Yes. The borrower taps "I paid", the lender taps "I got it", and what remains stays visible. Partial payments are always free. A scheduled installment plan is a Premium feature.

If two of four quarter coins are back, the other two stay visible and nobody holds the numbers in their head.

Can I add a witness?

Yes. Invite someone you both know with a link. Witnessing is free and works without the app. A witness sees the record and hears when it is paid; they are there so it is not forgotten.

For gold that stays out for years, a witness helps a lot.
