WordsealHow do installments and partial payments work?
Money lent between you does not have to come back in one go. In Wordseal, partial payments are free: the borrower taps "I paid", the lender taps "I got it", and what remains stays visible. Installment plans are Premium and add a reminder for each installment. Write it down, close it piece by piece.
How is a partial payment recorded?
The borrower enters the amount and taps "I paid". When it reaches the lender, they confirm with "I got it". The remaining amount updates and both of you see the same number. Partial payments are always free.
What if the lender does not tap "I got it"?
The payment stays marked as waiting, and nobody closes it alone. If it never arrived, the lender says so with one tap. If it is a misunderstanding, a note is added and you talk.
What is an installment plan?
It splits the remaining amount into dates, like a set amount on the 5th of every month. The plan sits in front of both of you, and each due date is visible. Installment plans are a Premium feature.
With Premium you can add up to 10 witnesses per record, and they see the plan too.
Does every installment get a reminder?
Yes. A gentle notification goes to both of you in the app 3 days before each installment and on the day. Notifications never show the amount, and the other person's name appears only if you turn it on in your profile.
Notifications stay calm: the tone is "the day is coming up".
What if we miss an installment?
The record shows it in neutral words, with no penalty or pressure. You can talk it over and add a note. The lender may choose to remind the witnesses; nothing is sent automatically.
The plan is open and shared, so a small slip does not turn into a big hurt.
Can the plan be changed later?
The plan is set up when the record is opened, and nobody can change it alone. If it needs to change, you cancel the record together and open a new one. So "that is what we said" becomes something two people read from the same record.
If partial payments are enough you never need a plan; both work side by side in the same record.

Inviting, confirming, witnessing and marking payments or partial payments are always free; on the free plan you can start 2 open records at a time. Premium: up to 200 open records at a time, installment plans, up to 10 witnesses per record, no ads. The price is shown in the store.
How do I pay?
You pay the way you always do; in the app you only mark "I paid" and "I got it".
What if I made a mistake?
If you both agree, the record is canceled. If one of you objects, they add a note and the record is flagged; nobody can change it alone.
